About the Penzion UNO

The Penzion UNO is located in a quite city neighborhood in Zlin. The view to the east from the rooms over looks the Bata houses. The Penzion is originally Bata housing from the 1930's with spectacular views of the forest.

What exactly is a "Penzion"? Well, by definitiion it is "A family-owned guesthouse or boarding house. This term is used in Spain, Italy and other European countries as a synonym of cheaper hostel, where one can usually get a smaller room. These small businesses may offer special prices for travellers staying more than a week. These family run guesthouses may be located in historic old buildings, have beautifully designed rooms with private bathrooms. They are less expensive than a full service hotel since they are family run and have limited services beyond lodging and food. A real advantage is ongoing interaction with the owners which may lead to a more enjoyable experience.

The Penzion uno is very close to the center of Zlin. With a 10 minute walk down the hill, you will easily find the grocery store, 15 minute walk and you will find shopping and dining. The Penzion is within reach of the entire city - getting anywhere in Zlin is easy!

There is also Bar UNO, a hip, upscale "lifestyle" bar in the downstairs. This is available for parties, receptions, weddings, and other corporate outings. Bar UNO is not open on a daily basis.

So if you are looking for a quite, relaxing atmosphere, you have come to the right place. The double rooms have 2 beds put together to form a "queen size". There are Televisions with cable, FREE Wi-Fi (or ethernet connection), private bathrooms with either a shower or tub, and couches/chairs for relaxing in each room. Upgraded rooms are available with kitchenets and a second bedroom. Breakfast is available every morning for an additional fee of 100Kc per person.
